In areas with tropical climates it is common to find coconut water for sale, it is drunk fresh or natural according to the customer's taste, but most people do not realize its real value for health, how, when and in what quantities. must be consumed.

 

In times of great heat, it is instinctive to ask for a cold coconut to “quench your thirst”, moisturize and enjoy its sweet taste. If you don't have this habit, it's good to adopt it, as your whole body will thank you, especially if you take into account some tips that I'm going to give you today, as they will provide you with more medicinal benefits whenever you enjoy this true nectar of the gods.

Coconut water is structured water, a specific form of water found in plants, which functions as a key to cellular functions.

How should you drink it?

Did you know that the healthiest water is found in the greenest coconut, that is, the one that has the least white layer of coconut inside? The amount of nutrients varies according to the ripening stage of the fruit and the greener the amount of mineral salts, amino acids, antioxidants, enzymes and vitamins A, of Complex B and  Ç.

Another factor that should be taken into account is that coconut water should not be extremely cold, as there are organs in the body such as the kidneys and spleen that do not like cold drinks. It can even be consumed a little cooler in times of intense heat but natural coconut in terms of health is most often the best option.

 

When should you drink?

Mainly in summer to avoid dehydration, but due to its medicinal benefits, you should drink it throughout the year. Here are some of them:

 

*Protects the heart by its potassium and magnesium content, reducing high blood pressure and providing it with the necessary strength to perform the demanding task of pumping blood;

*Detoxifies the kidneys due to its diuretic effects, and it is important to drink water later throughout the day to potentiate the effects;

*Prevents dehydration . Because it is rich in mineral salts, coconut water is considered a natural isotonic. The presence of electrolytes in its composition, such as magnesium, manganese and potassium, make it a natural energy drink and can be a substitute for coffee and other less healthy stimulants;

* Strengthens the immune system Rich in vitamins C, B1, B2, B5, coconut water increases tissue resistance, protects the nervous system and increases the production of white blood cells, cells that are part of the human body's defense system and they increase resistance against infections, collaborate with the absorption of iron in the body and help prevent stomach and lung cancer..

Coconut water, in addition to the minerals already mentioned, has other important ones such as calcium and phosphorus, which are essential for the proper functioning of the body. When a person is deficient in any of these nutrients, they may experience weakness, muscle spasms, mental confusion, among other harms.

*It's Rejuvenating  Coconut water contains cytokinins, which protect cells from aging by working to renew them, helping to recover from injuries and maintain younger, healthier skin.

Some even say that they lose weight, but more studies will be needed to confirm this statement.

 

Still within the “when to drink”, my advice is not to drink from 6 pm, like any diuretic, because it will force the kidneys to work during the night, which usually makes you want to urinate and a little restful sleep, when the goal is to sleep and rest.
