Garlic - A Real Medicine Food

Garlic is one of the most affordable food-drugs that can be found in almost every region of the globe.

 

Today I bring you here two excellent options to gradually detoxify the body and prevent illnesses by strengthening the Immune System.

 

Overnight, leave 1 clove of garlic, chopped into pieces in water and cover well.

The next morning, you can strain the garlic pieces and drink it on an empty stomach.

In addition to strengthening the immune system, it is recommended for joint pain and detoxifying the body.

 

Half an hour later, you can drink the green juice, a recipe given earlier or one you like. 

It is not new that garlic receives the attribute of good food for health. In the famous papyrus of Ebbers, from 2550 BC, there were more than 20 recipes based on garlic indicated to fight infections, headaches and pharyngitis. Other dated documents  from 3,000 years BC, elaborated by the Babylonians, Chinese and Romans also showed the use of garlic as a medicine. But, it was Hippocrates, considered the father of medicine, the first to demonstrate in detail the use of garlic as a medicine at various levels. Pliny and Galen, Roman doctors, also used garlic to treat intestinal infections, digestive problems, high blood pressure, senility and impotence. In Marco Polo's notes there are several parts showing the use of garlic by the Chinese for detoxification.

It also has the power to reduce cholesterol and blood pressure, has a germicidal action, fighting infections, as well as having antioxidants and flavonoids that fight aging, among other medicinal properties.

Most of these properties are due to the wealth of

sulfurous substances in its composition.

Several scientific researches point to its ability

to improve heart conditions, its germicidal actions

and anticancer, due to the presence of some principles

assets such as: 

* Diallyldisulfide oxide, with the ability to reduce levels

of blood lipids and cholesterol.

* Germanium: oxygen conducting element with action

invigorating and rejuvenating, thanks to its ability to

conduct oxygen and hypotensive agent that helps to control

blood pressure without causing side effects.

* Selenium: a protective mineral for the heart as it helps to

prevent the formation of atheromas, clots and even

normalizes blood pressure. Selenium also plays an extremely important role in memory and in various brain functions.

* allicin and alina: both with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.

Some medicinal properties of garlic:

· Prevents coronary and circulatory diseases. Hypotensive effect due to peripheral vasodilation, especially in the legs, eyes and brain.

. Good for memory and brain health.

· Prevents heart attacks

· Reduces blood clotting

· Reduces blood pressure

· Prevents platelet aggregation; useful in thrombosis and arteriosclerosis.

· Fights bacterial, viral and fungal infections (for the treatment of fungi in dermatophytes that affect the skin and yeasts, such as Candida Albicans).

· Decreases the risk of cancers

· Reduces sugar and glucose levels, helping to treat diabetes.

· Hypo-cholesterolemic effect (treatment of cholesterol).

· Mild anthelmintic effect (Treatment of intestinal parasites).

· Expectorant effect

For these and other properties, it is highly recommended to use garlic in cooking or to eat it raw, in certain preparations, for example with olive oil, to benefit from its many therapeutic benefits.
